A very close friend once gave me the best advice when I was swirling in my head with confusion and resentment. She said, “Focus on what is beautiful.” And so I did. What unfolded from there was a vulnerable and nourishing conversation on the beach with the woman who made me. The shifting of energy from negative and heavy to uplifting and light when we allow it to continues to surprise and delight me!
