Coming Home

$755.00

Acrylic, paper and charcoal pencil on canvas, 30” x 24”

It’s taken a long time to disentangle my inner child from self-centered fear, criticism, doubt, and shame. The first step was admitting I can’t drink alcohol like other people. In fact, if I want to be truly happy, I can’t even drink one, ever.

With help, I was able to let go of my addiction to alcohol, among others. That was just the first part in a long journey of healing. Over the past decade and a half, I’ve spent time in self reflection, making amends, and reconnecting to my true Self. It’s been a slow and steady process, and absolutely worth all of the emotional work. I believe every human being has this potential, to come home to oneself. It begins with honesty.
